Little Bit About Me
Hello I’m Joshua Bailey and I started Cornerstone for a number of reasons, I’ve been a carpenter for 20 years now doing my apprenticeship and NVQ’s in carpentry and joinery at college, I worked for a carpentry company for a few years, then moved on to a period building company that specialised in restoring listed and period buildings, we restored a number of national trust properties in my time there. I moved on from that company and worked for a builder who specialised in extensions and loft conventions, after a few years learning about every aspect of a build from foundations to the ridge I decided to go for it on my own. We are now 6 years in and have an extensive portfolio of a huge range of jobs.
Six years on, and Cornerstone is the company I dreamed of creating, working to the values of my Christian faith. We only use quality products to suit each property, as we know the pitfalls of using badly produced products. We aim to give both large and small contracts the personal attention and time they need, to ensure all works are done to the highest standard, for a competitive price, without the worry of not completing the project. We are fully insured and have never finished a project without the customer being completely happy. We have gained huge momentum in the last few years from our customer recommendations and pride ourselves on our integrity and friendly, trustworthy and professional approach to every job.

Our Faith
Cornerstone is close to my heart as I had a vision of a company that represented my faith. I got baptised and have been a Christian for 10 years now.
Cornerstone - It is the rock upon which the weight of the entire structure rests. It is the cornerstone. Scripture describes Jesus as the "Chief Cornerstone" of our faith. As the Chief Cornerstone, Jesus ensures the stability of the whole system of our salvation. Jesus was and is the only plan of salvation. I wanted to create a building company that people can have faith in. At cornerstone, we only use quality products to suit each property, as we know the pitfalls of using badly produced products.
